Eggo Waf-Fulls!

When I made Philadelphia Snack Bars from the early-2000s a HSOTD a couple of days ago, reader Jenna dropped me a note to say that her parents used to serve her and her brother a Philadelphia Snack Bar with a side of eggs for breakfast on school days sometimes. I immediately forwarded that e-mail to my mom letting her know that she did me dead wrong in the nutritional breakfast department by serving me sugarless oatmeal and dry whole wheat toast for breakfast as a kid instead of the highly nutritional breakfast of a Philadelphia Snack Bar and scrambled eggs. Jenna’s kitchen was truly the place to be for breakfast in the early-aughts, because she also brought up Eggo Waf-Fulls to me.

Nobody at Kellogg’s thought, “Hmmm, should we really put something out that sounds a lot like AWFUL?”, because at the start of the 21st century, they made Eggo Waf-Fulls, which were waffles stuffed with fruit or maple syrup filling. If a jar of strawberry jam bareback boned a waffle and busted all up in it, this is what you would get:

Everyone leggo’d of that Eggo, because Wa-Fulls were eventually discontinued. Like with many food stuff from the olden days, there’s a small group begging for Eggo to bring back Waf-Fulls. So out there are Waf-Fullheads who are furiously trying to get their fix by injecting strawberry jelly into an Eggo with a syringe as their kids watch like, “Err, it’d probably taste the same if you just dip that shit in the jelly instead…
