Duchess Meghan Accidentally Stepped Out With The Tag Still On Her Dress

Recently, Duchess Meghan left an appearance earlier than expected in Fiji after the crowds practically got close enough to check the tag on her dress to see where they could grab such an item. On Thursday, nobody had to get that close to see what Duchess Meghan was wearing, because the tag that was still hanging off her dress took care of that.

Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry arrived at Tonga’s Fua’amotu Airport on Thursday. People reports that Meghan wore a dress by Self-Portrait in the same color red as the flag of Tonga. I’m sure Michael will be disappointed that Harry didn’t show up in an equally Tongarific ensemble, aka shirtless and oiled-up like Tonga icon Pita Taufatofua. But it didn’t really matter what either of them were wearing, because cameras and eyes were too busy zooming in on the hem of Meghan’s dress.

Lo and behold, it wasn’t a little memo to The Queen that read, “No ma’am, I’m not wearing pantyhose, it’s too damn hot here.” It was the tag from her dress. The kind of store tag you secretly tuck away to pretend like you didn’t totally wear it first when you go to return it for a full refund the next day.

I’m sure Meghan has a person whose sole job it is to rip tags off her clothes, but I’ll give them a pass this time. Meghan and Harry are on tour, which means they’re changing their clothes multiple times a day, many times right there on the airplane. So something must have gotten lost in the shuffle. And does it even really matter? Duchess Meghan is so popular, that I’m sure she just started a trend. Everyone is going to keep their dress tags on. Don’t be surprised if you start seeing Duchess wannabes wearing the shopping bag with the receipt folded into a tiny brooch.
