Thomas Markle Got Nostalgic While Talking About Duchess Meghan’s Pregnancy

Kensington Palace announced a week ago that Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry were expecting a baby, and I’m sure the world is shocked that it took her blabbermouth daddy Thomas Markle as long to call up a British tabloid to talk about it. Heck, his daughter Samantha Markle (who had a statement out in 24 hours) was probably getting worried. Thomas has finally spoken about his grandbaby with The Daily Mail.

If Duchess Meghan is looking for some good reading material while she takes some time off to fight that first trimester nausea, then I might suggest anything besides Thomas’s interview with The Daily Mail. Because it’s bound to make anyone gag. Thomas begins by saying he found out about Duchess Meghan’s pregnancy on the radio while waiting to cross the US-Mexico border so…he didn’t find out before it was officially announced). Thomas told The Mail the news was “overwhelming and joyful” and that the first thing he thought of after hearing the news was Meghan’s birth day.

“The first thing I thought about was holding Meghan in my arms as a newborn 37 years ago. I thought, ‘My baby is having a baby.’ It was a very proud moment. I was filled with love, joy and happiness for both my beautiful daughter and my son-in-law. A new baby is a blessing and I look forward to seeing a little Meghan or a little Harry.”

Thomas also refused to say anything negative about his daughter or son-in-law, and claims he was only talking shit about them in public to take some heat off himself. He says Meghan will make a “fantastic mother” and “I wish her and Harry nothing but the best.”

He adds he was the first person to hold Meghan (her mother Doria Ragland was reportedly still under from a c-section), and that: “Meghan winked at me and I fell in love and have never stopped loving her from that day forward.

As for whether the baby will be a little Meghan or a little Harry, if he had his way, it would be a little girl. A video from Sunday shows Harry walking in Sydney and a voice yells out that they hope the baby is a girl, to which Harry replied: “So do I.

If Thomas wants to keep up the nice guy act, then his next photo shoot could involve himself taking a trip to London to buy a bundle of pink balloons. And maybe one of the balloons has his phone number written on it, and slips out of his hand and floats over the gate of Kenington Palace. Which will still be the closest a Markle will get to the Royal family.
