HGTV Gave Lance Bass A Job After He Lost The Brady Bunch House To Them

The auction business is one nasty industry, and Lance Bass ironically got the same treatment Marcia Brady’s nose got from the football during an auction for the right to take over the house that served as the exterior of The Brady Bunch. When the Brady house in Studio City, CA went up for auction, Lance initially thought (and told fans) he won the thing in August…only to later learn HGTV won out in the end. Considering this is a network that hires those shady Love It Or List It tricks or the Flip Or Flop train wrecks, this should come as no shock that they might play dirty down at the auction house. I guess they didn’t expect fans to return the Marcia football back at their noses, so they’re going to bring Lance on for the project.

People says the formerly Brady-less and “heartbroken” Lance revealed during the iHeartRadio festival last month that he’ll be part of the renovation show in some way:

“The fans came to my rescue. They saw how hosed I got. They forced HGTV’s hand to get me involved…There’s a lot of things that have to be done before we can start remodeling it, so it’s going to take a year or two.”

I live for a petty ho who will still drag and bite the hand behind their upcoming Friday direct deposit, but damn! Tread lightly, girl! It’s not like you have THAT many boy band royalties!

It’s still unclear what role Lance is going to have on the show, but it sounds like one option for the premise is going to be to make the inside of the house match with what it looked like on the TV show, per Lance’s original renovation intention:

“I’m a huge Brady fan, so I wanted to turn the house into what we all knew from the television show because all they did was use it for exterior. The inside looks nothing like it, so I was gonna add a lot of square footage, add a second floor and try to turn it into that iconic set.”

It’s unclear if the HGTV show will also add the weird brother-sister sexual tension of Greg and Marcia, but if it’s good enough for Game Of Thrones, why not HGTV?!
