Tyra Banks Is Bringing Even More Tacky Fashion Doll Realness In The First Promo Shots For “Life-Size 2”

Do I even need to specifically state it, when clearly that party dress and shih tzu hair are already doing it for me? Tyra Banks looks like the prototype for every fashion doll that has ever been made. Entertainment Weekly has given us the first look at Tyra in Life-Size 2, and it’s mostly about the fashion.

18 years have passed since the original Life-Size premiered on the Disney Channel, and I’m glad to see that whatever crawl space storage bin Eve has been hanging out in for almost two decades hasn’t warped her sense of style. It’s like she emerged one day from the bin (possibly to avoid the supreme tackiness of a garage sale), and asked: “Drive me to Contempo Casuals! What’s that? They don’t exist? Well, then find me your gaudiest craft store, I’ll do it myself.” Tyra’s Eve in the first film gave off more of a Barbie-meets-Bratz vibe. Apparently for the sequel, Tyra had a new vision, The Nanny meets Star Wars.

Here’s Tyra posing with her doll counterpart, who actually looks super normal, and probably wonders why when she becomes life size does she also transform into someone who looks like she’s been up all night at a rave in Candy Land.

Life-Size 2 comes out in December on Freeform, which would be why Tyra is smizing for her life in front of a Christmas tree.

Tyra also spoke to Entertainment Weekly about Lindsay Lohan’s involvement. Lindsay is missing from these new promo pics, and it’s not because she skipped the photo shoot to steal children. Tyra is playing coy about how Lindsay will appear in the movie, saying:

“There’s something beautiful we do with Lindsay in this movie that’ll speak to die-hard fans. I can’t say how, but you will see something! I think it’s normal. It’s normal to have comfort, particularly with what you know, and the unknown is kind of fearful and kind of scary. [But] when [fans] see this movie, they’re going to be like, ‘Woah, this is a really good movie!'”

However Lindsay appears in Life-Size 2, there’s one thing I know for sure. If Tyra is correct that people will say “Whoah, this is a really good movie,” then this will be the first time in at least a decade that someone has said that about a movie featuring Lindsay Lohan.
