If I was walking down the street and suddenly got hit by a car driven by Ashton Kutcher, I would pull out my wallet and ask: “So how many dollars do you stuff in here before I agree not to call a lawyer?” But when Ashton Kutcher recently hit a man on a scooter, it ended with a photo posted to Instagram.
Leo Marenghi, the guy giving you West Hollywood Jimmy Neutron above, was hit by a car on Tuesday as he was going to pick up the kids he nannies from school. According to TMZ, Manny Leo was on a scooter in Hollywood, carrying two additional scooters (for the kids) when he was hit by a black Tesla driven by Ashton. He was launched into the air and landed in the street.
When Ashton realized what had happened, he got out of his car and asked Leo if he was alright. Leo only suffered a small gash on his leg, and was generally fine. Upon realizing he was still in once piece, Leo asked Ashton if it would be cool to get a picture.
Not only was Leo struck by a star, but he explained in the comments on his Instagram post that he was starstruck:
“He was like ‘Oh my god I’m so sorry I didn’t see you are you ok’ and I looked up and saw it was him and said ‘Yeah I’m good but the question is are you Ashton Kutcher?'”
It’s not known if Ashton compensated Leo for his troubles, but I would like to think that Ashton at least gave him a $20 so he could roll on down to the nearest CVS to get some Band-Aids and Bactene. But the picture might be enough coverage for Ashton at least. When he returned home later than usual, and Mila Kunis suspiciously asks him if he was out hitting on some young thing in Hollywood, he can show her the picture and say “Technically, yeah.”
