Previously on… Survivor! Tom Arnold got into a physical altercation on Sunday night at a pre-Emmy party with Mark Burnett, and Mark’s wife Roma Downey claims Tom maimed her, and Tom supposedly ripped Mark’s gold crucifix from his neck, and Survivor host Jeff Probst tried to break it up, and all the while Della Reese was looking down from heaven shaking her head saying, “I ain’t touching this mess“. The fight was over alleged Apprentice tapes of Trump allegedly saying the N-Word. Mark has allegedly been hoarding them to allegedly protect Trump.
Now that the dust has settled, Tom has filed a police report accusing Mark of battery and, according to Deadline, was bragging to everybody who would listen that the tapes had been secured and handed over to Ronan Farrow. It’s only Tuesday.
According to Deadline, the LAPD is now officially involved in the incident.
“We can confirm a battery report was made at the West L.A. station. No arrest was made,” an LAPD spokesman told Deadline, noting that the alleged incident is under investigation by detectives.
Deadline also says that Tom could hardly contain his glee at the altercation and was running around the party collecting hashtags for his #teamtom collection and telling people he had turned the tapes over to Ronan, who I guess is now the only investigative journalist who counts. Take that Bob Woodward, you old hack!
Arnold was heard effusively describing Sunday’s encounter and telling a group of people that tapes of Donald Trump from The Apprentice had just been “handed over to Ronan Farrow. He has been vocal in goading The Apprentice creator Burnett, claiming the latter has embarrassing tape of Trump from the series. “I’m going to keep hammering Burnett until he shows” those tapes, Arnold told TCA in July.
Tom’s been hounding Mark for these fucking Trump tapes for his Vice show The Hunt For The Trump Tapes, which, unless it’s the pee-pee tape, I’m not interested. I don’t need to see Trump say the N word to know he says the N word. Give me something he can be indicted on! This entire mess reeks of opportunism and publicity stunt. But, that tone was struck the moment Trump decided to run for office so, game on, I guess. We have no one to blame but ourselves. And the Russians. But mostly ourselves.
