Mariah Carey Is Back With A New Song Called “GTFO”

Mariah Carey is finally getting her shit together and has got a new album coming out this year. While we have to wait until her first official single comes out, she’s just released a little teaser song called GTFO, which is not very ladylike at all. I guess Mimi’s finally over the unreliable billionaires, the backstabbing managers, and the menacing fish in her life. No more! Mimi has had it with all you motherfuckers, now get the fuck out!

According to Vulture, Mimi’s upcoming album will be her first under her very own label, Butterfly MC Records. Here’s what she had to say:

Carey explained in statement, saying she wanted to “give my fans and everyone a first listen that wasn’t so serious.” On October 5, she’ll follow it up with the album’s proper first single, “With You.”

Here’s the unofficial, not so serious, single.

Mimi’s not usually known for her potty mouth so she’s definitely giving us a new vibe here. Too bad she whisper mumbles the whole song and I can barely understand the lyrics. There’s no video yet, but she did include this preview on Instagram. Apparently, she’s decided to just go ahead and replace microphones with wine glasses moving forward.

In terms of female rage anthems, this is pretty mild. This is Mimi’s version of “Hit ‘Em Up Style (Oops)” by Blu Cantrell, and while the sentiment is there, she barely has enough energy to lift her arm and point to the door. This sounds like she’s in a milk bath, well into her second bottle of champagne, and muttering idle threats to a man who already packed his shit and bounced weeks ago. Mimi’s giving me Miss Havisham on Quaaludes realness, and I am loving it.
