Here’s The “Stars” Of The 27th Season Of “Dancing With The Stars”
ABC has been playing around with some casting gimmicks for their most recent seasons of Dancing with the Stars (all athletes, all kids), but they’re going back to their roots for the 27th season. And by roots, I mean any variety of adult celebrity that’s willing to cha-cha-cha for a check. Michael and I discussed a few of the rumored cast members competing for the DWTS trophy on the Dlisted podcast last week, but now we have the full list of everyone who is thanking their agents today.
The full cast list of 13 contestants was revealed on Good Morning America this morning. The biggest get – in my mind, at least – was landing Jo from The Facts of Life (aka Nancy McKeon). And Tom Bergeron might as well just hand Nancy the trophy right now, because she’s obviously the dancing horse you want to put your money on. For those doubting me, may I direct you to the 7th season of The Facts of Life to a little episode titled “Ballroom Dance” in which Jo – spoiler alert! – takes up ballroom dancing. Sure, she took it up because she had a crush on a boy, but she had to learn something. At the very least, she learned how to throw a post-practice towel over her shoulder, 80s-style, and really – isn’t that half of dancing?
Here’s the full cast list, and I’ve added descriptions, because there are some names that could really benefit from the help of a clue.

Usually there’s a ringer in the cast that’s already got a good handle on rhythm and dancing, and I guess that might be Tinashe? Or Mary Lou Retton? Regardless of the clear stand-out, hopefully the rest of the casts doesn’t bust out too many dance floor stunts to keep up. It’s not worth it! I don’t want to see Bo Duke throw out his back during a mambo after sliding across Emma Slater’s back like it’s the roof of a Dodge Charger.
