Nicki Minaj Says She Was Humiliated By Her Fight With Cardi B
The most exciting thing to usually happen at New York Fashion Week is if Anna Wintour cracks a smile at, um, anything. While violence is never the answer, the fact that Cardi B tried to turn a Harper’s Bazaar party into an MMA octagon with Nicki Minaj certainly was way more entertaining than a 2019 spring/summer ready-to-wear collection! Cardi has already taken to Instagram to say she threw a shoe (and got a goose egg on her forehead in the process) over Nicki allegedly trying to derail her career and talking shit about her kid. Nicki has taken the “I’m the cool as a cucumber MC” route and simply leaked she wasn’t going to file police charges. But now she’s fully responded.
Pitchfork says that during her latest episode of Queen Radio today, Nicki went straight for the Cardi jugular.
“The other night I was part of something so mortifying and so humiliating to go through in front of a bunch upper echelon… people who have their life together. The way they passed by looking at this disgusting commotion. I was mortified. I was in a Gaultier gown—off the motherfucking runway—and I could not believe how humiliated it all felt…”
Off the mothafuckin’ runway! She means business! Nicki went on to refute the claims that she spoke ill of Cardi’s kid and also accused Cardi of building a career of sympathy and wasting time fighting when she should be enjoying her time in the spotlight:
“…I would never talk about someone’s child or parenting…. It’s so crazy to me that people always need to make Onika the bad guy. If you’re right in whatever you’re doing… just speak your truth. I just want people to know that Onika Tanya Maraj has never, will never… speak ill on anyone’s child. I am not a clown. That’s clown shit.”
Clowns don’t wear off-the-runway Gaultier, plebes! Anyway, I really think Nicki is wasting her time getting into tiffs with Cardi. Do you see that beautiful yellow kitchen glove shawl-necked getup she is wearing in that Insta-vid? She should hope the fashion hashtag gets her FAH-shun picked up by H&M, I mean Gaultier, and she can collect a check!
