Nicki Minaj Denies That Any Part Of Her Tour Was Canceled

August 23, 2018 / Posted by:

Nicki Minaj’s big return to the music world since her 2014 album The Pinkprint hasn’t exactly been going as well as she was probably hoping for. Her album, Queen, was delayed, it was beaten to the number one spot on the Billboard charts by Kylie Jenner’s boyfriend, and then it was reported the North American leg of her joint tour with Future would got canceled, possibly because it wasn’t selling tickets. Nicki has recently commented on that low-ticket sales rumor, and she’s denying that she was forced to cancel due to unpopular demand.

This started after Page Six published a story earlier this week that claimed the sales for Nicki and Future’s NickiHndrxx Tour potentially might have the worst sales of the year for any artist. Page Six claimed that Nicki and Future had only sold a handful of tickets, like 1000 in New Orleans and 3400 in Los Angeles. The tour will now open in Europe in February, with all the postponed North American dates happening in May. Billboard made the mistake of reporting that Nicki had cancelled the North American tour dates, and it wasn’t long before Nicki was dragging them on Instagram for it.

You are now in the running for #CockSuckaOfTheDay award on #QueenRadio this Thursday. Barbz get me the name of this writer then hit them & tell them this is one black woman they will not bully into a corner by FRAUDULENT SHAMING TACTICS. So to clarify; because I realize common sense is far from common… I haven’t CANCELLED anything. I reversed the order of the US & EUROPEAN LEGS of my tour. This is for obvious reasons to anyone with a brain. My album was originally going to drop in June which would’ve given me 3 months of tour rehearsal. However, I was still writing & recording up to last week. We are all grown right? We can all do math right? Or will they just pretend to not have basic sense so that they can board the Nicki Hate train & get some clicks? I can’t rehearse 4 WEEKS for a tour I originally planned on rehearsing 3 months for. I give my fans QUALITY. I write & co produce my own music. Therefore, I can’t rehearse while I’m WRITING & RECORDING my album. My true fans understand & know that I will deliver an extraordinary US TOUR which begins in MAY just like I delivered an extraordinary album entitled #Queen. My European fans get the SAME EXACT DATES they’ve always had. Australian fans SAME EXACT DATES they had. Cancelled what? Where? The narrative they are trying to create is disgusting. But I must say, I’m enjoying this. I love bringing some excitement to this shit. I love having the balls others only dream about. Wait, who’s been dreaming about balls? ? There’s another publication I’m giving CSOTD award to. I won’t tell you who. It’s a surprise ? Shout out to my fans around the world. I love you guys so much for holding me down. I’m working on a M&G experience for the tour & will update you ASAP.

To sum it up, Nicki awards Billboard (and possibly all her tour-haters) the title of “cock sucka of the day” for spreading the rumor that her tour was canceled. Nicki says that her album was originally supposed to be released in June, but due to delays (like tracking down Tracy Chapman to sign-off on a sample), it was released two months later. This didn’t leave Nicki with much time to rehearse for the tour – a mere four weeks instead of three months. So she decided to move the North American dates to the end, and give herself enough time to perfect the show.

She also claims that anyone spreading lies about her tour are just passengers on what she calls the “Nicki Hate Train.” According to a source that spoke with Page Six, Nicki might be the conductor o her own light rail vehicle, the Minaj Mess Express. And instead of coal, she’s shoveling pure nuggets of jealousy into the engine. Hey, they even continue the train metaphor for us.

“Nicki has gone off the rails. She can’t take it that she sold less records than Cardi B (who’s stealing her thunder big time) in her first week; she can’t take it that Travis [Scott] beat her to No. 1. Her ticket sales for her tour were in the toilet, and it’s making her even more crazy.”

Despite the start of her tour getting bumped to February 2019, Nicki is still promoting the tour in an attempt to drum up some sales, like promoting this exclusive concert pass.

That “priority pass” actually costs $10 and just means that you get to get into the concert before everyone else. You still have to buy a ticket, but for $10 more, you can have early entry and wait around way longer for the concert to begin. Hopefully Nicki’s ticket sales will pick up, otherwise they might have to sweeten that $10 deal a little. “Not only will you be able to skip the line, you can bring 8 of your closest friends in with you! Hell, they don’t even have to be friends, just as long as they can sit in a seat. Name your price, we need this.
