Nicki Minaj Canceled Her North American Tour, As She Said More About Travis Scott
So the other day Nicki Minaj got salty and bitter when her album Queen came in at #2, getting beat out for the top spot by Kylie Jenner‘s boyfriend and baby father, Travis Scott. During her Twitter freak out, she hinted that come Tuesday she was going to have more to say about it on her Queen Radio show on Apple Music’s Beats 1. Tuesday came and Nicki did as promised.
Entertainment Tonight listened in on the show and got all of the details, and it’s pretty much more of the same pettiness from earlier in the week. Yay! More fickle drama! Nicki came in hot going on about rappers, like Travis, manipulating sales by including their albums in bundles:
But what we’re not gonna do is have this auto-tune man coming up here selling fucking sweaters and telling y’all he sold half a million albums, because he didn’t. And it’s a lot of rappers behind the scene that won’t talk about it and they’re scared. Sweetheart, I’m not scared. I’m legendary in these streets.
Nicki then went for Kylie again lamenting her ability to shill:
“You stupid fuck. You got your fucking homeboy talking for you and you got your girlfriend selling tour passes. Stop it. Knock it the fuck off.”
And Nicki really hated on those tour passes Travis was selling with Astroworld, maybe because, as Page Six is reporting, her own tour is not selling out:
“When [Travis] comes along and sells a tour pass that has nothing to do with his fucking music and says he’s sold more than Kanye West and Nas—no you fucking didn’t, keep it the fuck real. I know I’m that bitch, I know I’m number one.”
As for Nicki’s tour, a source is telling Page Six that it is selling about as many tickets as Kevin Spacey‘s last movie. The source says:
“Nicki’s tour could be the most disappointing ticket sales of the year for any artist. These are big arenas with up to 20,000 capacities. Sales for opening night in Baltimore is 2,000 tickets. LA is 3,400, New Orleans 1,000, Denver 1,300, Chicago 3,900. Even her hometown Brooklyn is only 5,050.”
Nick did take to Twitter to announce that the North American leg of her NickiHndrxx tour with Future will be “postponed” and instead the tour will kick off in Europe in February. The North American shows will be changed to May 2019:

Live Nation also made it sound like her tour wasn’t thrown in the shit can due to low sales:
“Following her unforgettable VMA performance, Nicki Minaj has decided to reevaluate elements of production on the NickiHndrxx Tour… The outing will now kick off in Europe this coming February as planned. Nicki has decided to contribute more time to rehearsal ahead of the tour’s launch to make certain her fans get the absolute best quality show that they deserve.”
Oh, but just in case all of this tour drama makes you think that Nicki is having another salty moment, think again, because she’s sure to make it clear on her radio show that she’s honestly not that phased by anything and is totally just doing her cool-cucumber, normal thang:
“Having said that, none of this is some serious anger s**t. No, we are in a time right now where black music is prospering… And I am one of the people who, I’m so excited to see where rap has come from and where we are. But right is right and wrong is wrong.”
There you have it, words from Miss Nicki herself. Right is right and wrong is wrong. And Nicki is the Judge, Jury and Executioner of right and wrong and she’s been having some really shitty tour sales and then her album came in at #2 and now she is on the EDGE. So Travis Scott, you better watch your back. You think she’s going to stop with a tweetstorm and a radio show dragging? No ma’am. Nicki is pissed and now she has until February to stew in her rage. Ask Safaree how Nicki Minaj finishes confrontations. Apologize Travis, you don’t wanna get stabbed!
