Lost in all the “Thomas Markle still won’t shut up” articles is that Duchess Meghan has one seemingly normal parent. One that doesn’t appear to have a DNA mutation that causes them to wake up every morning and contact reporters. And as such, Duchess Meghan’s mom Doria Ragland is allowed to be in her daughter’s life and now she may really be in her daughter’s life, because the Express UK says she’s moving to London.
Doria was the only member of Meghan’s family who attended her wedding to Prince Harry in May, and Meghan is her only child. A source says that Doria has been planning the move for a while. In May, Doria reportedly quit her job as a social worker in Los Angeles, CA. She’s also been reportedly seen in public with security. That same source says that Doria could be on a plane anytime, and that she’s “eager” to live close to Meghan.
“She hasn’t been staying at her house for a while now. She has only visited the house very occasionally and when she is there she has had a security guard with her. He has been with her since about November.”
Doria also reportedly fell in love with England while she was there visiting Meghan, so it sounds like it was an easy choice for her to make.
Additionally, Doria is “fiercely loyal” to Meghan, and would never “betray” her like the rest of her family has. But speaking of betrayal and a total lack of loyalty, let’s check in with Thomas Markle.
Thomas tells The Sun that he believes he’s been “locked out” of Meghan’s life and will likely never speak to her again. Meghan apparently hasn’t spoken to her dad in almost three months, and it’s rumored the Royal Family would like to use their waving hands to wave him away for good. So it sounds like not talking to Thomas Markle is the game plan. But he’s still sad about it, although he might have made peace with the situation.
“I want to say good luck and God bless to my daughter. I don’t expect to see her or hear back from her – and that’s OK. All I was doing was saying things I wanted to say. I just want to re-establish the relationship with my daughter. I now want to go away on vacation somewhere and try to get some peace.”
Of course, it’s not an interview with Thomas Markle unless he says something petty or emotionally manipulative. Thomas says that he took care of his own mother in the final years of her life, and that Meghan promised she’d do the same for him. Thomas has been claiming for a while that he’s on death’s door, and now he’s asking Meghan to come take care of him. Personally, I think a vacation is a great idea. If he needs a daughter nurse, he could call up Samantha Markle (she appears to have an equally-free schedule). I just hope wherever they go has good cellphone reception to call The Sun every day from the pool. Otherwise the next time Meghan sees her dad it will be on an episode of Destination America’s My Trip from Hell.
