Brad Pitt Isn’t Buying The Story That Angelina Jolie Is Low On Cash

August 13, 2018 / Posted by:

Last week, we learned that Angelina Jolie borrowed $8 million from Brad Pitt to pay for a house, and was begging for child support. Not long after, TMZ painted us a picture of a practically poverty-stricken Angelina Jolie. There’s at least one person who doesn’t believe for a second that Angelina has money struggles, and that’s Brad.

Angelina has accused Brad of pulling some deadbeat dad shenanigans by not forking over enough child support for their six kids. Brad has denied it, saying he’s provided at least $1.3 million, plus expenses, over the course of two years. According to The Blast’s sources, Brad thinks it’s “crazy” that Angelina is acting so financially down on her luck considering that she has already been paid for the sequel to Maleficent. Angelina reportedly earned $33 million for the first film. The Blast claims Angelina was paid more than $20 million for the sequel.

Brad is also wondering what kind of calculator Angelina is using for the math on the child support. Child support in California is based on current income, and apparently Brad and Angelina are fairly close in earnings. Sources say that any story implying Angelina is hurting for money is wrong, and that she is capable of paying for anything.

So why all of a sudden is she acting like her pockets are empty? Page Six says it’s all the work of her new lawyer, Samantha Bley DeJean. Angelina’s former lawyer, Laura Wasser, allegedly didn’t want to attack Brad, so she got the boot, but Samantha is all for going for Brad’s money. Page Six points out that the only problem is that by going after Brad’s financials, she’s going to have to provide her own as well. Uh oh. There’s only so many times you can claim decimals are typos. “That’s not $5.7 million, that’s…uh…$5.70. Ha ha, silly Chase Bank.

Angelina also isn’t doing a great job of acting poor. TMZ says that Angelina was seen grocery shopping with some of the kids at Whole Foods this weekend in Los Angeles, and she left with several full bags of groceries. Of course she needed a home loan from Brad – she’s been spending all her dollars on $29 juice and quinoa!

I don’t know if this is Angelina’s attempt at looking like a regular ol’ mom on a budget, but someone better tell her that Whole Foods is not the place to do it. You get your ass to Walmart and get “caught” telling the kids that the Pop-Tarts days are over, and you’re a Great Value Toaster Pastries family now.
