Demi Lovato Is Getting Daily Hospital Visits From Wilmer Valderrama
As it turns out, Wilmer Valderrama’s hospital visits to see Demi Lovato haven’t been a one or two time thing. According to People, Demi Lovato is still in the hospital after her suspected drug overdose last week, and she’s reportedly got her own Wilmer Nightingale constantly at her bedside.
It was reported a few days after Demi was checked into the hospital six days ago, that she would most likely stay there until she was moved directly to a rehab center. It wasn’t known when Demi would go to rehab, but UsWeekly says that she’s still in the hospital. According to TMZ, the reason why Demi hasn’t left the hospital yet is because there have been some complications with her recovery. According to sources, Demi has been suffering from a list of ailments, including “extreme nausea” and a high fever. Apparently those are all side-effects from the alleged overdose, of which drug we’re still not entirely sure caused it. While she’s in there, she’s got plenty of company, thanks to her ex-boyfriend.
Waking up from a 2pm hospital nap, looking at the end of your bed and discovering not a television playing Maury, but the guy you broke up with two years ago staring back at you with a teddy bear from the gift shop sounds like my personal nightmare. Not Demi though, because she keeps letting him back day for repeat visits.
“Wilmer has spent hours at the hospital with Demi every day,” says a second source. “He seems very concerned about her.”
The source says that Wilmer has been seen “multiple times” since Demi was checked in last Tuesday morning. Another source says that this has been “heartbreaking” for Wilmer, who remained friends with Demi after they broke up, and that he’s been “her rock” through some of the darker moments in her past. It sounds like Wilmer is just being a good friend. Or maybe there are ulterior motives:
“Demi always hoped they would end up back together in the future,” the source continued. “He’s the love of her life and vice versa.”
Before Demi allows the human equivalent of a late-night DM slide back into her life, she might want to test Wilmer first. Just to make sure of his commitment to her. And what better way than to request he stay overnight in the hospital with her, sleeping in a sideways position in an extremely uncomfortable pleather hospital chair. I hate to say it, but even Wilmer gets upgraded to keeper status if he’s able to do six hours in one of those things.
