Britney Spears’ Piece Talked About Her With Men’s Health

Britney Spears’ boyfriend, muscle model Sam Asghari, did a lengthy interview with Men’s Health and it is about as interesting as an interview can be with someone who’s life story is: “I decided I wasn’t happy with my body one day and started working out, then I got cast in a music video and now I’m dating the pop star whose video it was.” So not very interesting. But I read it for you, because I was hoping for shirtless pictures. You can read the story for yourself or you can read my dramatic retelling.

It was a dark night. A mildly chunky Sam was working three jobs to make ends meet; BestBuy by day, Gold’s Gym by later in the day, and bouncing nightclubs by night. One day, he decided he was too fat and not going anywhere in life, so he quit two out of three jobs, and decided to focus on his gym-body and becoming a personal trainer.

Well, he did. He took classes and the gym and within six months he was transforming other people’s bodies the way he had transformed his own. He lost 100 pounds! But then he went overboard. Poor, Sam got heavy into working out and would check his body fat daily:

“When you reach a certain level of accomplishment, you never want to let it go. Mentally, you get so paranoid. You think, ‘No, if I eat this, I’m going to go back. I wasn’t hydrated properly while exercising, and I was passing out. That’s what happens when you’re so lean and you don’t have the right nutrition.”

But then, with his intelligence and willpower, he stopped doing that and focused less on his body fat and is now incredibly healthy. I know! This is a relatable struggle. I can’t imagine being hot and having to carve the hotness from your sort of chunky, less-hot body and then needing to maintain how absolutely sexy you’ve become. Fucking inspiring. But wait there’s more.

His younger sister comes into the story now. She noticed her big brother was starting to look hot AF and suggested he start modelling. She even hooked him up with his first gig, walking in a Michael Costello fashion show. Shit really popped off from there. It was booking after booking after booking! He got modeling jobs, he booked a Fifth Harmony video (which is a cinematic masterpiece). And then, one fateful night, Sam got a phone call from his agent. They needed him for a Britney Spears video. Two days later, he was on set with THEE Miss Britney Spears herself: “I got a call at midnight. It went through so much to get to me. I don’t know if it’s some sort of a blessing or just meant to be.” Meant to be, Sam. Just like your inevitable relationship with Britney after Daddy Spears handed him a lucrative relationship contract to sign.

“She said, ‘Hi, I’m Britney,’ and I said, ‘I’m sorry. What’s your name again?’ I tried to be funny. I don’t think anybody got it.” I did. I got the joke, you sexy pile of muscles. Make me laugh and bench press me like you do her!

“After the video came out, nobody knew we were dating. I don’t think [she or I] had the intention to just be friends.” If Britney Spears is anything like me (and I’m assuming she is) then she definitely took one look at your arms and thought to herself: “I could lick SO MUCH Cheetoh powder off those arms“. Me too, Britney. Sam continued to gush about her:

“She motivates me more than anyone. It’s crazy how I can be humbled by a person like her. If I could be that humble when I’m that high in life, that would be the best thing. I grew up with three sisters, and my personality is just to be a supportive person for my family and she’s family. I’m always going to support her. She is another blessing that happened to me.”

So that’s that. An interview with a gorgeous person of little substance. My favorite kind. Honestly my biggest grievance with this piece was the fact there was not a SINGLE shirtless picture of Sam. Like what? You gon’ spend all this time talking about your workouts and getting cast for being sexy but you ain’t gon’ show me the goods? That’s some shit.
