Duchess Meghan And Prince Harry Can’t Stand That Her Dad Won’t Stop Talking To The Press

Those of us who love drama love when Thomas Markle hits speed dial on his phone for one of the many press connections he’s made since his daughter Duchess Meghan started the process of becoming a member of the Royal family. An appearance by Thomas on a TV show or in The Sun is a good day for some, but not for Meghan and Prince Harry, who reportedly are at their wits end over what to do about her blabbermouth daddy.

A while ago it was reported that Thomas was worried the Royal family had their pressed-and-starched knickers out of joint over him talking to the press. Thomas, here’s maybe a bit of confirmation on that.

A source that spoke to Entertainment Tonight claims Meghan and Harry are “frustrated” that Thomas keeps speaking to tabloids and taking money for interviews. Probably like the one Thomas just gave to The Sun, in which he claimed he could die soon, doesn’t seem to have Meghan’s current phone number, and thinks she’s faking her smile for the cameras because she’s miserable.

ET’s source adds that Meghan and Harry haven’t had any contact with Thomas lately, which also might explain why his calls haven’t been going through. But out of all of this frustration, what can Meghan and Harry do? My suggestion would be that once a week, someone from the Royal family (Harry in a fake mustache, whatever) arranges a paid ultra-exclusive interview with Thomas for a fake tabloid called Shhh! (circulation: one – Thomas’s house). It’s a little Truman Show, but it could buy Meghan and Harry at least a month without a Thomas-induced headache.

UPDATE: Meghan and Harry might want to keep the Tylenol handy, because Thomas is still talking. Specifically, he’s got something to say about Meghan and Harry wishing he would shut up. Thomas spoke to TMZ regarding ET’s story about Meghan and Harry, and he says they shouldn’t be frustrated with him, because he’s just trying to be involved in their lives.

“I was silent for a full year and the press beat me up every day saying I was a hermit hiding in Mexico, so I gave my story. Apparently that interview put the Royal Family in their silence mode. So, I gave another interview to break the silence. All they have to do is speak to me.”

Here’s Meghan and Harry, looking less-frustrated and more like a detective duo from The Hamptons, at the launch of the Nelson Mandela Centenary Exhibition at the Southbank Centre in London earlier today.
