George Clooney Crashed His Scooter In Italy

People is reporting that 57-year-old George Clooney got himself into a fender bender while on the Italian island of Sardinia. Here’s how it went down. George, who is in Sardinia shooting a Hulu series, Catch-22, was out for a scooter drive letting the wind rush by at 60 MPH, enjoying his insane amounts of wealth on the state road to Costa Corallina when a driver of a car cut across the scooter’s path and they collided. George was thrown from his scooter and his helmet flew off, smashing the car’s windshield as well as his helmet. When the Italian who hit him realized he almost killed a huge American star, he got out to help and called an ambulance who rushed George to a hospital.

TMZ got a picture of the incident:

Don’t worry, it looks much worse than it was. I mean don’t worry for George, you should worry for the person who hit him. They’re probably fucked.

Even though he was thrown 20 feet in the air, George was taken to the ER for only “a slight trauma to the pelvis and bruises to one leg and an arm, and also got an MRI. Surely not his first trauma to the pelvis, if you get my meaning. Wink-wink. His wife Amal Clooney put down the life-or-death Human Rights cases she was working on and rushed to her scooter-loving husband’s side. He was released from hospital and is now recovering at home.

The couple is in Italy with their never-seen 1-year-old twins, Ella and Alexander, and also brought along George’s parents who watch the children they’re working.

No word on what couture designer Amal wore to the hospital, but stay tuned. The couple will surely roll out a heavily-choreographed paparazzi stunt to showcase how well things are doing after the accident. This time she better wear the right outfit, or the next car that cuts them off will have Tom Ford driving it.
