Duchess Meghan And Prince Harry Might Stop By Mexico To Visit Thomas Markle Before Their Honeymoon

Duchess Meghan Markle and Prince Harry may be making a detour to Mexico on their way to their honeymoon to visit Meghan’s dad Thomas Markle. Thomas lives in Rosarito, Mexico, so it’s kind of out of their way since they reportedly will be honeymooning in Namibia. I hope that’s an amphibious car!

According to Entertainment Tonight, “Royal expert Katie Nicholl” says:

“I hear one of the things they want to do sooner than later — and now that they’re married — is to go and see Thomas Markle, who is recovering from a heart operation,”

As the world knows, Meghan’s dad had to miss the wedding on account of his bum ticker. And those fussy Brits wouldn’t let Meghan and Harry have a quaint beach-side wedding with a frozen margarita machine and free donkey rides. Which, on second thought, is maybe for the best. I have been to Rosarito Beach and it was a dump. I got bitten by sand fleas and threw up in the bathroom of Senor Frogs.

ET says the couple are planning to visit Thomas “sooner than later” and that if they do go, it will be an opportunity for the newlyweds to film a little spoof called “When Harry met Thomas”, as they haven’t met before. We know Meghan’s family are big fans of drama so Harry’s just going to have to get used to donning wigs and fake mustaches for fun Markle family theatrical games.

Honestly, it sounds like they just want to get the introduction over and done with. And who can blame them! The specter of Thomas Markle has been hanging over their heads like this whole entire time. My mess of a dad never had the chance to embarrass me at my wedding because he’s dead. But he did ruin a sleepover once by calling and leaving a drunken rambling rendition of “Ain’t No Sunshine When She’s Gone” on the answering machine. Good thing I wasn’t about to become a duchess at the time! I really feel Meghan on this one.
