Avril Lavigne Is Reportedly Dating The Son Of A Billionaire

The last time we checked in on Avril Lavigne’s love life, she was reportedly dating Ryan Cabrera. There’s no doubt people who have reacted to this new boyfriend news by not-so-secretly muttering, “Upgrade” under their breath. But come on, that’s not fair; some say one 2000-era celebrity’s trash is another one’s treasure. And while we’re on the topic of treasure, let’s discuss Avril’s new guy. According to E! News, the boi who has sk8ed into Avril’s heart is the son of a Texas billionaire.

A source tells E! News that 33-year-old Avril has been “quietly dating” 31-year-old Phillip Sarofim, son of Texas billionaire Fayez Sarofim. Their relationship is still new; they’ve reportedly only been together for about two or three months. E! News has a few pics of Avril and her new billionaire heir boyfriend on a date back in April. He doesn’t really look like a billionaire to me, because whenever I hear the word “billionaire,” I immediately picture a grown-up Richie Rich wearing a suit made entirely of Apple stocks. This guy however looks more like he’s about to take Avril to a really nice dinner at Bonefish Grill.

Avril has been married twice, to Sum 41’s Deryck Whibley and Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger. Phillip has been married once, to Lori Krohn. Later on, his dad went ahead and married Lori’s mother Susan Krohn.

Fayez Sarofim has a reported net worth of $1.91 billion USD. That’s a lot of money. Think of all the teen girl skate hoodies you could buy from West 49, Avril! What am I saying? That’s regular millionaire spending. She should get a head start on that potential billionaire-heir wife life by commissioning a neon pink and black zebra striped Hot Topic-inspired Rolls Royce.
