Jennifer Love Hewitt Doesn’t Have A Thing To Apologize For, But She Did Anyway

Jennifer Love Hewitt stepped out on the red carpet of the Fox Upfront looking fresh, fabulous, and flawless – if you ask me. But whatever you do, don’t ask JLove because she thinks looked “like a hot mess“. And went on Instagram live to apologize for it!

JLove had to fly to New York for the event because it was just announced that she’d be taking over for Connie Britton in the Ryan Murphy show 9-1-1. According to E!, it will be JLove’s first TV role since Criminal Minds and her first time taking a big job since she became a mom of two. After the event, JLove saw pictures of herself and was horrified. So she posted an Instagram live video to explain.

“We go to the Upfront yesterday and nobody tells me the day is going to be like 12 hours long and the humidity is going to be almost 100 percent in New York City. So, I just have to apologize. Wearing a black suit? Not a good idea. Not wearing enough hairspray and teasing in my hair? Also a bad idea.”

“I just have to apologize for how wrecked I look in all the pictures that have come out. I was literally melting. By the time I got to the red carpet, I was honestly melting,” she said. “My hair was flat, my makeup was running off my face and I looked like I had completely forgotten I was an actress in this business who is supposed to look [perfect] when you step on the red carpet.”

JLove also said that she hadn’t slept all night because she came with her kids, and it was their first time traveling as a family. She said that was doubly stressful for her because she suffers from anxiety and is afraid of flying. She also promised to work out really hard and pull it together for the show.

“That is not what I’m going to look like on the show. I’m going to have makeup on my face. I’m not going to be sweating. I’m not going to be overwhelmed by being in front of a red carpet and crews again. Honestly, I apologize,” she said with a laugh. “I should’ve really gotten it together!”

JLove has been acting since she was 10 years old when she started on Kids Incorporated. That’s a lot of years for the industry to do a number on a person. It breaks my heart that she felt the need to apologize for looking ten times better than all these hookas wearing 20 pounds of foundation and a Botox smile. Thankfully though, it seems like it’s onward and upwards for JLove. Here she is owning her SANS FARDS look.

Looks like JLove is doing just fine.

Here are a few more shots of JLove looking radiant on that carpet.
