Kanye West Is About To Drop Two New Albums

Back in March Kanye West was spotted in Jackson Hole (Wyoming, you pervs) with a bunch of celebrities that led many to believe he was either starting a cult or working on new music. Unfortunately, it’s not a cult. Kanye will be unleashing his Yeezinesss all over us with two new releases slated for June.
Pitchfork reports that Kanye is going to grace us with a solo, seven track project on June 1st then follow that up with a collaboration featuring Kid Cudi on June 8. Kanye stopped writing his philosophy book to announce the news.

Kids See Ghosts huh? He probably got the inspiration for that name when his children North and Saint spotted their grandmother Kris Jenner in her natural shade of Casper after a few days away from a tanning bed. I bet that scared the bejeezus outta them, poor babies. Kanye also revealed that GOOD Music label mates Pusha T and Miss Body-Ody-Ody herself Teyana Taylor have releases dropping in both May and June respectively.
I’m excited about the Kanye and Cudi collab because they’re both batshit crazy so you know there’s drama on the horizon surrounding this impending marriage of maniacs. Kanye and Cudi have both worked together in the past, and their relationship has been somewhat rocky at times.
Kanye West and Kid Cudi have a strong collaborative history. Cudi’s first two records—Man on the Moon I and II—were released on West’s G.O.O.D. Music label; West also featured on both. Cudi, in return, has contributed to every Kanye West album since 808s & Heartbreak.
They have also had, however, their fair share of disagreements over the years. In 2014, Cudi revealed that he was annoyed when West used old vocals for Yeezus’ “Guilt Trip.” A couple of years later, in September 2016, Cudi sent strays shots at West on Twitter, writing that he believed West “don’t give a fuck about me. And [he] ain’t fuckin’ with me.” Shortly after, during a concert, West said, “Don’t never mention Ye name. I birthed you.” One week later, West declared, “Kid Cudi is my brother.” In November 2017, a few days after the “Kids See Ghost” trademark was filed, Cudi brought West out during a show. West joined Cudi on stage once again in February 2018.
Shhhh…do y’all hear that? It’s the sound of two egos about to clash in front of the world. Their back and forth ramblings remind me of that social media obsessed couple who love to hate one another in public, and I’m here for it! I just pray the music is good because there’s nothing worse than when celebrities take a break from creating and then alert you of new music that sounds like absolute garbage. And yes 808’s & Heartbreak, I’m looking directly at you.
