Janice Dickinson Took The Stand In The Bill Cosby Trial, And Said She Wanted To Punch Him

Every good gay gets a little tingle in the film adaptation of Chicago when Velma Kelly (played by Olivia de Havilland’s favorite actress, Catherine Zeta-Jones) takes to the stand and is asked if she’ll tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth so help her God…and replies, “and then some.” Clearly they were airing Chicago on Janice Dickinson’s flight to Pennsylvania to testify in a case against Bill Cosby. Because Janice came out swinging so much that I bet they had to dismiss early that day on account of suburban Philadelphia not knowing how to handle everything she served.

Vulture says Janice appeared at the Montgomery County courthouse yesterday to testify in Bill’s retrial for felony sexual assault. He’s accused of drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand, who is testifying today, in his suburban Philly home in 2004. This comes as there are 60 accusers who have said they were sexually assaulted by Bill over the years. While Janice initially horsed around on the stand about refusing to fly economy to Philly (good for you, Janice! Cash in some of that America’s Next Top Model residuals), she went deep into the memory bank to recall what it was like when Bill allegedly raped her in the 1980s:

“He smelled like cigars and espresso and his body odor. Here was America’s dad on top of me, and a happily married man of five children, and I just remember thinking how wrong it was.”

Janice said she went to Bill for career advice and a burgeoning singing career I never even knew existed. Sometime over dinner, he passed her a glass of wine and a pill for her menstrual cramps (because pharmaceuticals is a great side-hustle for a sitcom actor). She woke up the next morning with semen between her legs and a pain down there. Janice said Bill played stupid when she confronted him, and she wanted to punch him, but instead, she got on a plane back to Bali to finish her modeling assignment. Janice testified that she didn’t go to the police because it would’ve hurt her career.

Defense lawyer Tom Mesereau also tried to come for her and her foggy memory and for not including the alleged rape in her 2002 tell-all autobiography when she wrote about meeting Bill Cosby. Jezebel says they also tried to slut shame her:

Mesereau used the book to pivot to questions about Dickinson’s life. He asked her, “You’ve dated married men, haven’t you?” because “in the book you sleep with married men all the time.” There was an objection to that line of questioning, but Mesereau brought it back again. Dickinson was completely unfazed.

“Show me in the book where I talk about it,” Dickinson said. “You’ve got the book. Show me.”

Have I mentioned this is the woman who regularly dragged Tyra Banks while on and off Top Model? This woman isn’t afraid to drag a few tricks to make her point. Janice said she wanted to mention the Bill Cosby rape in her book, but her publishers told her to keep quiet. The defense team is also trying to paint the accusers as fame hungry. Psh! Janice doesn’t need fame. She hangs out with Katy Perry. If she needs anything, it’s just better taste in music.
