Here’s The Trailer For Netflix’s “Original” Series “Lost In Space”

Netflix is out to ruin your childhood while simultaneously damaging future adults by trying to scare the bejeebus out of them as children with their super serious remake of Lost In Space. It’s a Netflix Original Series that looks like an expensive feature film and it also looks absolutely terrifying. While the general plot may be the same, Netflix has ditched the camp and embraced the FX for LIS 2018.

According to Nextflix (via YouTube):

The Robinson family, part of a highly trained mission to establish a new colony in space, is unexpectedly pulled off course forcing them to crash land on a lost planet. Danger will find them. Lost in Space premieres April 13, 2018

Hold me! That is not the gentle, goofy LIS I remember as a kid. Even the Robot is horrifying in this version. He looks like a love child spawned during a porno version Alien vs. Predator with an LED headlight for a face. He also looks like he’s DTF. That could change the dynamic between the Robot and Doctor Smith who is now played by Parker Posey. In the original series, Doc and Bot had a cantankerous relationship. After spending an entire 10 minutes watching Jonathan Harris (who played Dr. Smith in the OS) trade barbs with what looks like an inside out space juke box in the following clip, I started to see what could be the basis for a sexy RomCom.

If you have 10 minutes to spare (or even two or three, 7:39 is my fav), I swear it’s worth it.
