Armie Hammer Took Another Swipe At A BuzzFeed Writer In Defense Of Jennifer Lawrence

Armie Hammer woke up and reached for the cranky pants that are too tight in the crotch again yesterday and #tooktotwitter to pop off at his number one enemy, that damn woman from BuzzFeed! Senior culture writer Anne Helen Peterson (whose post last November titled Ten Long Years Of Trying To Make Armie Hammer Happen made Armie want to throw his dolly at the nanny and led him to quit briefly quit Twitter) opined on a Vanity Fair interview with Jennifer Lawrence and Armie took offense.

Here’s Anne’s take on the Jlaw interview. If you click and read the thread, you’ll see she’s pulled paragraphs from the interview noting a heavy-handed job of constructing and perpetuating Jennifer’s “authentic“, “cool chick” persona.

To which Armie responded:

Which is basically the equivalent to “you’d be prettier if you’d smiled”. Why Armie is unable to either receive or process criticism in any form is perplexing. Having never been a rich, famous, straight, attractive white man from a prominent family, I won’t pretend to know the struggles that Armie must face. Does he have an alarm that goes off every time a beautiful blond person’s media persona is being questioned? Besides, I don’t think Jennifer Lawrence needs him or the white horse he rode in on to defend her honor. Jennifer knows how to make a martini, all by herself (!!) for God’s sake!

Anne later posted on Twitter about the harassment she’s received since Armie started scrapping with her online.

Last I checked, Armie has a wife, several children and an Oscar ceremony to tend to. I’m pretty sure he’s doing OK. even though a mean lady didn’t kiss his ass in a profile. Just like I’m sure JLaw is also going to somehow survive Anne’s critique. Take it on that monstrously square jaw of yours Armie, isn’t that what it’s there for? Or is it made of glass?
