Adam Rippon Has Responded To Sally Field Trying To Match Him Up With Her Son
Sally Field’s son Sam Griesman spent the weekend with a case of mombarrassment after he was caught in the middle of a not-subtle Olympic-themed matchmaking attempt by his mom on Twitter. Sam admitted that he had a crush on Olympic figure skater Adam Rippon, and Sally responded by grabbing the ball from her son and shooting his shot for him. The good news is, Sam can stop whatever cringing he has been doing, because a very-flattered Adam recently responded to Sally’s enthusiastic attempt at getting them together.
Buzzfeed talked to Sally to see if she had anymore to add. Sally said she isn’t going to meddle anymore in her son’s dating business….but not before she could get in just one more mom-so-extra moment.
“Sam was mortified. I have to bud [sic] out now. But I would like to see Adam in the family.”
Adam now has all the information: Sam Griesman got the vapors for him, and his mother, two-time Oscar-winning actress Sally Field, is pushing them together like magnets while her son is groaning, “Moooooooom noooooo.” So what are Adam’s feelings? According to BuzzFeed, Adam responded by screaming, then saying, “Sally! She bold.” Then he had a message for Sam. It’s not a no, per se – more like a soft maybe.
“Sam, your mom – I admire her. And I’m sure one day we’re going to meet! So thanks, mom.”
I’m sure Sam and Adam will meet, one day. Especially if Sally has anything to do with it. Just because she has to butt out doesn’t mean she will (the power of being a mother to a single child compels her). Sally is going to be waiting at the airport on the day Adam returns from South Korea. Possibly behind a potted plant, most likely while wearing a disguise, whispering, “Psst…wanna meet my son now?” Don’t want to come on too strong and scare him off, after all.
