Amy Schumer Got Married To Her Boyfriend Of Three Months
Four days ago, Amy Schumer went Instagram official with her boyfriend of three months, chef Chris Fischer, by posting a picture of them kissing at Ellen DeGeneres’ 60th birthday party in Los Angeles. It seems like every famous person was at Ellen’s party. Amy and Chris are from the east coast, and they must have decided to take advantage of the nice weather and all their friends being in one place. Because UsWeekly says that Amy and Chris rented a fancy house in Malibu on Tuesday, and texted 80 of their friends to come over for a wedding. According to sources, that last-minute guest list included Jennifer Lawrence, Jennifer Aniston, Larry David, David Spade, Jerry Seinfeld, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Judd Apatow. And it does sound like it was all done at the last minute.
A source tells UsWeekly:
“It was a very chill wedding. It was thrown together last minute. Most of the guests found out the wedding was happening on Tuesday from a text message sent out by Amy on Sunday. It was like, ‘Hey, this is happening. If you can make it, great. If not, no worries.’ People were in and out all night. It was a gorgeous day. Everyone was having a good time.”
When I think of Amy Schumer throwing together a wedding in 48 hours, I picture a buffet of McDonald’s nuggets and whatever sparkling wine was on sale at Ralph’s, and her in a pair of white cut-off jean shorts. In reality, her last-minute wedding seemed very nice. The Blast says that their guests were treated to a huge seafood bar, which I’m sure was the source of many “I brought the giant clam!” jokes from Amy. It also looks like comedian John Early (aka @bejohnce) officiated as his character Vicky. Amy posted a gallery of eight pictures from her wedding on Instagram.
And for those looking at that dating timeline and how fast a wedding seemed to happen, Amy sees all you skeptics, and she wants you to know that, no, she’s not knocked up. She also has requested that no one send any gifts. All I really care about is whether or not Amy Schumer is going to take her husband’s last name and start going by Amy Fischer. She probably won’t.
