Kate Upton Accused Guess Co-Founder Paul Marciano Of Sexual Harassment

Former Guess Girl Kate Upton has taken a head-first dive into the murky waters of the #metoo movement and accused Guess co-founder Paul Marciano of something. Exactly what that something is, Kate will reveal at a later date. TMZ reports that on the same night as Guess’ big party launching Jennifer Lopeznew campaign, Kate #tooktotwitter and #ignitedinstagram with a vague accusation and expressed disappointment at Guess’ continued support of Paul.

Here’s Kate’s tweet posted to Instagram with additional commentary.

According to People, Kate was a Guess “celebrity spokesmodel” beginning in 2011. In case you have granny eyes like me and can’t read tiny print anymore, the clarifying comment in the IG post reads:

He shouldn’t be allowed to use his power in the industry to sexually and emotionally harass women #metoo

Naturally, this has caused considerable speculation and people want to know the details. Did he do something to her specifically? Is there a pattern of behavior? Ever the loyal spokes model, Kate left it up to us to Guess. TMZ found Kate at the airport and she said she’s gonna spill the deets “when the time is right”, so in the meantime keep guessing, I guess. Man, “guess” looks like a really weird made up word now.

TMZ speculates that Kate’s accusations were purposefully timed to coincide with the campaign launch party, putting Jennifer in the awkward situation of having to schmooze it up with Paul while accusations hang in the air, stinking up the joint.

Kate Upton had just made the allegation that Marciano has been abusing models. Wednesday’s event had been planned for weeks, and our Guess sources say Kate was invited … so she clearly knew her bombshell would land right in the middle of Marciano’s big night.

Neither Paul nor Guess have commented on the situation yet. As it stands, there’s not really much they could say until Kate decides she wants to talk. Or tweet. Or gram about it.
