Chris Brown Bought His 3-Year-Old Daughter A Baby Monkey

Haunted (*eye-roll*) documentary star Chris Brown was obviously never given the memo reading A) never give a pet as a gift and B) never give a wild animal as a pet as a gift. Chris posted a clip on Instagram of his 3-year-old daughter Royalty cuddling with her early Christmas present – a baby marmoset monkey.

In the clip (via Metro UK), Chris asks Royalty if the monkey (whose name isn’t revealed) is “her baby.

Royalty and the monkey are an adorable pair, but some feel that Chris made the wrong move in giving a child a gift from the wild that flings its own feces. They’re calling him out online.

‘So sad, this baby monkey should be with its mother,’ wrote one fan, while another blasted Brown by writing: ‘You are as thick and ignorant as they come!!!

People were really on the monkey mom’s side.

Another comment read: ‘Why? Why taking a little baby monkey away from it’s mother? This is a wild animal!

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in the UK states that owning a marmoset isn’t illegal, but it’s probably not a good idea to raise it in an L.A. mansion where drugs are thrown out of windows and handguns abound.

‘They are wild animals that have very specific welfare needs,’ their brief reads. ‘It is impossible to provide an environment as complex and rich as the wild for a marmoset kept as a pet. ‘They are tropical animals who require a warm climate.’

Hopefully, Royalty isn’t too sad when the monkey realizes he lives with Chris Brown and makes a break for it, diaper and all. Maybe she’ll be distracted from the monkey’s absence by her disgust over Daddy collaborating with underage piss cult head R. Kelly in 2017. (He must have reasoned, Well, if sexual assault survivor Gaga is ok with him…”)
