Taylor Swift Isn’t Done Slapping At Kanye West On “Reputation”

November 10, 2017 / Posted by:

Of all the songs on Taylor Swift’s latest album Reputation, which dropped last night, it was my understanding that “Look What You Made Me Do” was the “I HATE KANYE” song. How naive I was. People says that on her album is a song called “This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things” and it’s another diss track about Kanye West. Thank goodness Taylor has more than one song about Kanye, otherwise we just wouldn’t know how she felt about him.

This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things” is a long title for a song, but at least it’s a real title. Based on these lyrics, I’m guessing the working title was “[Sound of Taylor screaming while destroying things in her home like a blonde Godzilla in July 2016].” Taylor never names Kanye, but she doesn’t have to since the lyrics make it obvious.

It was so nice being friends again
There I was giving you a second chance
But then you stabbed my back while shaking my hand
And therein lies the issue
Friends don’t try to trick you
Get you on the phone and mind-twist you
And so I took an ax to a mended fence

And she gets in a dig at Kanye’s expired friendship with Jay-Z.

But I’m not the only friend you’ve lost lately
If only you weren’t
So shady

She also drags her mom and new boyfriend Joe Alwyn into it while cackling in Kanye’s direction. Congratulations Joe, this is your life now.

And here’s to my baby
He ain’t reading what they call me lately
And here’s to my momma
Had to listen to all this drama
And here’s to you
‘Cause forgiveness is a nice thing to do
Haha, I can’t even say it with a straight face

We know that Taylor is the victim of all victims, but I don’t think she understands how backstabbing works. This is all because of Kanye’s song “Famous.” Kanye claimed he got Taylor’s permission for the lyric, “I made that bitch famous.” Taylor responded by acting shocked and appalled that anyone would speak of her in such a way. Then Kanye, with help from Kim Kardashian, provided a video that proved Taylor was in fact in on it.

Now Taylor is like “I was tricked! Yeah, that’s it, tricked.” Providing proof isn’t backstabbing! If that was the case, my phone company is the biggest backstabber of all. Yes I went over my data limit last month and every month before that, but tricking me with a $128 bill that I will most certainly pay 14 days late is really backstabbing my credit.
