Diplo Poked The Taylor Swift Hornet’s Nest. Again.

I’m pretty sure Diplo must just like the whirling of snake emoji notifications on his iPhone, because he should know by now that when you make fun of Taylor Swift, her legion of psychotic conformists fans will turn out in droves to go Don Corleone on your social media. He already made fun of her ass – or lack thereof – and now he did it again by mocking her music.

Back in 2014, Diplo got in the crowdsourcing madness by encouraging a Kickstarter to buy Taylor an ass.

Someone actually tried to get the thing going, but the response was mainly hyena shrieks from Taylor’s squad, including Lorde, a Diplo collaborator who suggested he should pay more attention to his tiny wiener. Diplo eventually said that making fun of Taylor was one of the biggest career mistakes of his life. Apparently some of the substances passed around at his DJ gigs are making Diplo a little forgetful because now he’s back at it.

Rolling Stone (via Buzzfeed) interviewed him, and he said streaming services are making the Swift Army irrelevant:

“’Music is in the hands of the kids. Streaming is literally what kids want to listen to over and over again. They want to listen to ‘Rockstar’ and ‘Bodak Yellow.’ They don’t want to listen to, like, ‘Look What You Made Me Do,’’ he said when asked about the effects of music streaming. ‘That music doesn’t relate to them at all. I don’t think it ever did. They were only given that by radio and marketing budgets. I’m impressed with Post Malone. I can relate to him more than Taylor Swift.’”

As Buzzfeed notes, “Look What You Made Me Do” broke Adele’s record for most-streamed debut week by a female artist. Taylor’s army went overboard with the snake emojis (which Taylor “reclaimed” after Kim Kardashian’s minions peppered her social media pages with them) and social media shade to remind Diplo what a turd-faced loser he is!

Meanwhile, Taylor is like, totally, okay with this, you guys, since douche drama from Diplo is a great way to take our minds off the water torture trickle of singles strategy she’s taking with this album.
