Drake Was “Seen” At Bella Hadid’s Birthday Party

If you’re famous and single, there’s a scientific law that states you cannot be in the same place as another famous and single person without a rumor being started that the two of you are possibly dating. It’s compounded further when one or both parties are prone to publicity stunts and/or a love of drama. When UsWeekly found out that 30-year-old Drake threw Bella Hadid a 21st birthday party earlier this week in NYC, it was quickly followed with a story about Drake maybe dating Bella Hadid.

Drake allegedly arranged for 30 of Bella’s closest friends (like her mom, and Scooter Braun) to celebrate at a lounge in SoHo on Monday.

Drake has been single since ending whatever was going on with Jennifer Lopez earlier this year. Bella used to date The Weeknd. So does this mean sensitive Toronto-area singers are her type? Is Drake wooing Bella with melancholy dear diary verses? A source familiar with the situation tells UsWeekly that Drake and Bella “definitely” aren’t dating. However, when Andy Cohen asked Bella’s mom Yolanda Hadid about it on Watch What Happens Live! on Tuesday night, she did a pretty bad job of playing it off as just a silly rumor.

Who knows what the truth is! Bella might be dating Drake. Or Drake is just the type of guy who gets crushes on girls and throws them birthday parties. Here’s what I think is going on, and it has everything to do with Bella’s memeworthy, ultra-cringey Complex magazine sneaker video:

Drake has clearly volunteered on behalf of the hip-hop community to mentor Bella and tell her that she can stop talking like she’s auditioning for a remake of Malibu’s Most Wanted.
