Katy Perry Is Still Trying Really Hard To Be Friends With Taylor Swift

If Taylor Swift is out there listening, Katy Perry has a message for you, and it’s basically: “Hi Taylor! Do you wanna walk home from school with me? I’ll be waiting at my locker!

Like Ferris Bueller with Cameron’s Dad’s Ferrari, Katy has thrown her feud with Taylor into reverse in an attempt to make people forget about all the mean things she said in Swish Swish. You know, since the whole mean girl angle wasn’t exactly as lucrative as she was no doubt hoping it would be. Katy abruptly went from hating on Taylor to apologies and forgiveness, and turning Swish Swish into Flip Flop by changing the lyrics to “God bless you on your journey.” In case Katy hasn’t been obvious enough, she recently spoke to Australia’s Today show (via Entertainment Tonight) about her love for Totally Not My Enemy Taylor, and she laid it on thick.

“I mean, I love her, I always have. We’ve had our differences but I just continue to say, ‘God bless her on her journey.'”

Of course, Taylor hasn’t said anything about this mess, because Taylor has been rumored to want nothing to do with it.

Katy is going majorly overboard with the Taylor love. We get it, every night you’re dropping to your knees, throwing your hands together, and asking the man upstairs to send down a GPS from Heaven to help make sure sweet wonderful Taylor doesn’t get lost on her beautiful journey.

And that’s nice, but Taylor doesn’t need Katy’s insincere blessings. She’s sitting in a huge mansion on a throne made of pink macarons and money, waiting for her squad to finish assembling a little runway so her cats can put on a feline fashion show to help her decide which outfit she’ll wear when she gets makes her first real pap appearance with her newest boyfriend. She’s living the life!
