Lindsay Shookus Is Totally Unfazed By Ben Affleck’s Fame
One of the things that has been said about Ben Affleck’s new lady Lindsay Shookus is that she didn’t get with Ben because she wanted a taste of that sweet famous girlfriend life. Sure, that’s one of the perks of dating Ben Affleck, but that’s reportedly not what sold Lindsay on the relationship. According to Page Six, the reason Lindsay isn’t feeling weird about dating a famous actor is because this might not be her first time at that rodeo.
A colleague who works with Lindsay (Lorne Michaels? You gossip!) tells Page Six that her current producing role at SNL means she works very closely with talent. Lindsay has reportedly become very close with the cast and as well as the stars who come in every week to host the show. Well, apparently some of those close relationships turned into dates. Page Six claims Lindsay has gone on dates with three-time SNL host Jon Hamm. They were seen last September at a Kanye West concert in NYC. She has also been rumored to have dated Chris Noth. I have to give Lindsay credit; Mr. Big and Mr. Big Doesn’t Even Begin To Cover It is a pretty impressive alleged dating history.
As of right now, the only famous actor that can technically be confirmed to have gone on a date with Lindsay is Ben Affleck. Jon Hamm’s rep told Page Six that Jon and Lindsay know each other from SNL, but denies they have ever dated, adding: “They are not friends; they are acquaintances.” A rep for Chris Noth didn’t respond with a comment.
Still, despite whoever Lindsay may have dated, this is definitely her most high-profile relationship. That colleague from earlier says she’s ok with that.
“She’s enjoying it. She never wanted to be on camera, but she’s comfortable getting a lot of attention.”
Page Six also spoke to a source that claims what we’ve heard before: that Lindsay and Ben got together in 2013 when they were both still married.
I’m glad Lindsay is settling in well to her new life as Ben’s new pap buddy. But I don’t know if dating other famous guys was what desensitized her to fame. I think it was all the major stars she’s rubbed elbows with at SNL, and I’m not talking about whatever host was there that week to plug their movie. Imagine walking down the halls of Studio 8H and running Toonces? Or even bigger, Stefon??? Once you’ve met Stefon, I doubt you could get starstruck by anyone else ever again.
