Antonio Sabato Jr. Is Running For Congress In California

Out of all the ABC soap opera actors to run for public office in 2017, it just had to be Jagger Cates from General Hospital. It couldn’t be Dorian Lord from One Life to Live, or Susan Lucci, or even Liza Colby #3 (aka Jamie Luner) from General Hospital. It had to be Jagger Cates!

Antonio Sabato Jr. was one of the A-lister superstars who tramped for Trump during the election and he even spoke at the Republican National Convention. If you’re a major political enthusiast who follows the genius political minds of our time like Antonio Sabato Jr., then you know that last year he said that he thinks Barrack Obama is definitely a Muslim who doesn’t follow the God that he loves and that Obama isn’t a Christian name. Shit like that is what made some of us ask, “How do I unfap to Antonio’s Calvin Klein underwear ads?

I guess campaigning for Donald Trump gave Antonio a political itch and The Los Angeles Times says he’s scratching it by running as a Republican for Congress in California’s 26th Congressional District in the 2018 midterm elections. That district covers most of Ventura County including cities like Thousand Oaks and Ventura. Antonio is going to run against Democrat Julia Brownley who has held that spot since 2013. In last year’s election, she beat her Republican challenger by 20 points. Antonio didn’t confirm the news to the L.A. Times, but his fundraiser Charles Moran did. Charles Moran said this about Antonio running:

“Being a Republican and with proximity to the White House and Republican leadership, he’s going to be able to get more done — being in the majority, with his notoriety, for the residents of the 26th [Congressional] District.”

So let’s see… Antonio Sabato Jr. has zero political experience, he’s been on several reality shows and he has ties to Russia (read: he was once named as the new face of the Russian women dating site Anastasiadate). Yup, that confirms it. Get ready to say the words: Congressman Jagger.
