Alec Baldwin Maybe Knew Nikki Reed Was Underage When They Shot A Movie Together

In Alec Baldwin’s new memoir, Nevertheless, he talks about being horrified to learn that Nikki Reed was underage when they filmed Mini’s First Time, a limited-release comedy drama from 2006. The movie is about a high school student named Mini (Nikki) who decides to be an escort and accidentally gets called by her stepdad (Alec). Then they go on to (spoiler alert!) murder Mini’s mom.

Alec claims in his book that he was 47-years-old when they shot the movie, and it never occurred to him to ask how old Nikki was. When Alec discovered that Nikki had just turned 17, he flipped out on the rude, thoughtless little pigs on set who failed to mention just how young she was. Except that it might not have happened like that. According to one of the producers of Mini’s First Time, Alec is lying.

Mini’s First Time producer Dana Brunetti, who has a reputation of not giving a fuck, came for Alec on Twitter. Dana tweeted so much about this situation, that I’ve decided to condense it all into a paragraph so that your fingers don’t cramp up from all the scrolling.

“My first indie film was Mini’s starring Alec Baldwin who knew Nikki Reed was 16 (not 17) and he didn’t mind. In fact Nikki Reed was 1 of 4 actresses Alec Baldwin had approved and her being the only 1 of those 4 repped by HIS own agency CAA. The only time Alec Baldwin ever yelled at me was on the phone and it was about one of the producers who worked with the financier. The films director Nick Guthe said ‘We liked the idea that b/c it meant we couldn’t be pressured into shooting scenes w/nudity, which was a real issue with the subject matter and the rather unusual cast of character we were dealing with.’ But to Alec Baldwin’s benefit, he has been impersonating Trump a lot, so maybe there was a bit of method acting when writing his book? And I have just received 3 other message from crew and other producer stating that he knew how old Nikki Reed was during filming.

If Alec Baldwin had simply said in his book he didn’t know Nikki Reed’s age, I would let it go. However to say that when he found out after filming he yelled at the producers (I being 1 on the film) makes it out to seem we did wrong. So to summarize, Alec Baldwin knew Nikki Reed was 16, didn’t find out AFTER filming, and did not yell at us. UNLESS Alec Baldwin saw Kevin Spacey [who also produced Mini’s] at some event after and yelled at him?? Though that would be wrong too, because again, Alec knew.”

Alec Baldwin fought back on Twitter. Again, it’s long and it’s basically two dudes puffing out their chests and going “Oh yeah? Seriously, do it bro. I dare you.

Alec maintains he didn’t know Nikki was 16 until after shooting. He claims he found out from Nikki’s hairdresser after the fact. Dana maintains Alec is a liar and that Nikki signed all the appropriate SAG waivers before shooting. Dana also brings up that Alec should have been clued in to her age, since Nikki had just come off a movie called Thirteen. Dana challenges Alec to find Nikki’s SAG release forms to prove there was no secret regarding her age. Alec hisses that Dana is a “Hollywood zombie” before telling Dana to put down the script for 50 Shades, Pt. 9 and find the forms himself. Then Alec dragged the 50 Shades franchise.

Oh god, don’t give them any ideas, Alec! As long as 50 Shades of Grey keeps pulling in tons of money, a theme restaurant it the next logical step. They’ll just need to put a lock on the kitchen door to prevent customer from sneaking in and stealing cucumbers.
