Of Course The Original Aunt Viv Had Thoughts About “The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air” Reunion
Most of the cast of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reunited in Malibu on Monday to help out Karyn Parsons with a prize that her charity, Sweet Blackberry, auctioned off. Missing from the reunion was Uncle Phil, Nicky Banks and The Original Aunt Viv. Uncle Phil couldn’t make it since he’s in heaven now. Nicky Banks couldn’t make it, because I’m guessing he’s too busy selling homes. And The Original Aunt Viv wasn’t invited, because it maaaaay have killed the happy time vibe of that charity dinner if she tackled Will Smith and pushed him into the Pacific. I said maaaaay. I know some tricks would pay extra to see that.
Janet Hubert was Aunt Viv for three seasons and was replaced by Daphne Maxwell Reid. Both Will Smith and Alfonso Ribiero publicly said that Janet had to go because her ego was destroying the show. Janet later said that Will and Alfonso treated her like a piece of trash and that Will didn’t stick with the cast when it came time to renegotiate their contracts. There’s other reasons, but it’s basically the feud that will outlive eternity. Will did say nice things about Janet Hubert last year, but that sprinkling of sugar didn’t sweeten her up at all. So when Alfonso posted the picture of the reunion, some wondered what TOAV (The Original Aunt Viv) had to say. Well, ask and ye shall receive, AND HOW.
In a Facebook post, TOAV didn’t hold back and went off on that “media hoe” Alfonso for being Will’s dirty-deed-doing bitch.
I know the media hoe Alphonso Ribero has posted his so called reunion photo. Folks keep telling me about it. He was always the ass wipe for Will. There will never be a true reunion of the Fresh Prince. I have no interest in seeing any of these people on that kind of level.
I am not offended in the least, by this photo… it was an event for Karen’s charity. It does however prompt me to take some meetings in Hollywood to pitch my memoir PERFECTION IS NOT A SITCOM MOM, and tell of the behind the scenes story before I leave this earth.
That is a good response and it’s one we should all use when we feel like someone has done us wrong. “I am not offended in the least, but I am going to take some meetings in Hollywood to pitch my memoir where I’ll expose the truth about you!” And if TOAV does take those meetings, she needs to tell the powers-that-be that she has enough feelings about this 20+ year grudge to fill dozens of books and put the encyclopedia to shame.
