Here’s More On One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson Getting Arrested For Attacking A Pap

That one direction? IT WAS TOWARDS JAIL. As reported yesterday, level 2 One Direction member Louis Tomlinson was arrested at LAX for reportedly assaulting a paparazzi photographer. We’ve got more on that little incident, plus new details on what Louis’ girlfriend Eleanor Calder was up to while he was trying to place the pap in a figure-four.

NBC News says Louis has been charged with “simple battery.” The LAPD were called at 8:25 pm Friday night to investigate a reported boy-band disturbance at the Terminal 4 baggage claim at LAX.

Tomlinson, 25, was booked at the LAPD’s Pacific Division, where he posted $20,000 bail and was released at 1:32 a.m. Saturday, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Jeez, that bail money. “Oh, no worries, I have it on me!” Meanwhile, the rest of us peons would be “Uh, at which desk do I take out a second mortgage? It there an organ-selling option?” The photographer is said to have been taken to the hospital afterward, and there’s no further word on his condition.

This melee kicked off when Louis felt that the photographer was violating his personal space. NBC says that some other gal started recording Eleanor trying to leave the scene and the model didn’t like that.

A female witness began to video record Tomlinson’s companion as she attempted to leave. A fight then broke out between the singer’s companion and the female witness, [LAX police officer] Hernandez said.

Louis, apparently tired of whaling on the photographer, is then said to have come to his bae’s assistance.

Tomlinson allegedly tried to take the woman’s cell phone by grabbing her wrist, causing her to fall to the floor. During the altercation, the woman was struck in the eye, Hernandez said.

“The female witness and the photographer both filed Private Persons Arrest statements,” she said. “The photographer was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The female witness was treated on scene and released.”

Imagine the tired Angelenos who just wanted to grab their shit off the luggage carousel and go home? They had to gingerly step over boy-banders and “models” tussling with sleazy photographers and aggressive civilian looky-loos on the floor to get to their friggin’ shuttle bus. #Hollywood

TMZ has some footage of Louis and lady trying to flee the scene while LAX workers scream at them to hold up. It looks like he yanks her away from slapping at (or getting slapped by) cameraphone chick? You can watch that below.

I’m still delighting in the fact that Louis allegedly “pulled the photographer to the floor by his legs.” How did he accomplish that? I’ve heard of sweep the leg, but you’re usually standing for that. Did they grapple, Louis went down, and he started snatching knees? Did Louis drop to the floor first, and then go for the guy’s legs? Why not just punch him if you’re so inclined? Is there footage of this? If so, we need to examine this on a Zapruder-type level so I finally understand the logistics.
