Nick Cannon And His Ex-Girlfriend Named Their Baby “Golden”
Nick Cannon became a father for the third time yesterday when his one-time piece, former Miss Arizona USA Brittany Bell, gave birth to their baby boy. Nick’s twins with Mariah Carey are named Moroccan and Monroe, so I thought that maybe he’d keep with the “Mo” theme and name his third child MONAY. Nick didn’t do that, but he did name his son after a currency, sort of.
Nick posted a picture of his new baby on Instagram (SPOILER ALERT: Nick’s new baby looks like a new baby) and he let everyone know that he and Brittany named their son Golden “Sagon” Cannon. I don’t think they named their son after Golden Brooks from Girlfriends. And I bet Golden Cannon is going to spend a good piece of his life saying, “Err, just call me Sagon.”

I’ve never named a baby before, but if I had to, I’d go through this thought process after I picked the name:
- Does the name you chose sound like the name of a porn star? If the answer is yes, proceed.
- Do you care? If the answer is no, proceed.
- Does the name you chose sound like the name of a porn star who specializes in golden showers? If the answer is yes, proceed?
- Do you care? If the answer is no, proceed.
- WHY THE FUCK DO YOU HATE THIS CHILD?
So yeah, Golden Cannon wouldn’t pass my test. But if I was Brittany, I wouldn’t care if Nick wanted to name our kid Golden as long he sent that gold every month for me and Golden. Get that gold, Golden!
