Police Had To Get Involved In Robin Thicke And Paula Patton’s Custody Battle, Again

The ugly keeps getting uglier in regards to Robin Thicke and Paula Patton’s child tug-of-war. On Thursday, Paula was supposed to hand off their 6-year-old son, Julian, to a court-appointed monitor at a park in Malibu. The court appointee was then supposed to take the kid to visit with Robin, who was recently denied unsupervised visitation with his son. Much like Robin’s Paula album, things went awry.

TMZ reports that cops had to get involved, and that it was your sadly typical “he said/she said” nightmare custody blowout. You know, the kind of situation that’s bound to gift Julian with neuroses enough to render any of his future relationships fraught with tears and drama.

Sources connected with Robin tell TMZ the singer was aware Paula has a restraining order but he never came close to her. The sources say Paula was an hour late and when she arrived she refused to give Julian to the monitor.

To recap, Paula has accused Robin of plenty of negative fuckery when it comes to his parenting choices, up to and including allegedly punching Julian. Robin has denied most of it, but has admitted that he spanked the kid.

Paula’s side of Thursday’s incident goes something like this:

Our Paula sources say the monitor arrived at 3:13 PM and she arrived exactly on time at 3:30 PM. Sources connected with Paula say Robin violated the restraining order and was feet from Paula when she arrived with her son. They say Julian decided he didn’t want to go with his dad and asked her to call 911.

Paula is said have been the one to get the Malibu police department involved, but TMZ says that she was gone with Julian by the time they got there. It got a little weird.

When the deputies arrived, our Robin sources say the officers told him a black SUV resembling Paula’s had gotten in an accident. He freaked out and left to find the SUV. Our Paula sources say she was not in an accident.

Why do I picture the Robin sources calling TMZ from within a large bag of blow? This isn’t the first time the 5-0 have had to step in for these people. Deputies had to pay a visit to Paula’s house last month when she wouldn’t let Julian go with Robin for a visit.

I’m assuming that if asked to comment about all of this, Julian replies “eff this shit, can I just go watch Bubble Guppies until this blows over or I turn 18?
