Disneyland Really Was The Happiest Place On Earth For A Super High Andrew Garfield And Emma Stone

Since weed has a tendency to make annoying things more tolerable and tolerable things wonderful, some people get high before they go to Disneyland. It’s really the perfect place for it: bright colors, tons of candy and people wearing oversized foam costumes. It’s like a wholesome rave! Andrew Garfield did this once, and he recently talked about getting Disneylit to W magazine.

Andrew was asked by W what his favorite birthday memory is. He says it was a few years ago on his 29th birthday when eight of his friends, including his on-again/off-again girlfriend Emma Stone, came to visit him in Los Angeles and took him to Disneyland. They ate a bunch of pot brownies, and as Andrew describes it, it was “Heaven.

“How about Space Mountain three times in a row. I freaked out on It’s a Small World. I was like, ‘it is – it is a fucking small world – it’s a fucking – it’s a really fucking small world guys, is anyone else seeing how small it is?’ Amazing. Amazing.”

Andrew and company had a VIP guide named Chanelle with them and he says that she had no idea how high they were.

“God bless you, Chantelle, wherever you are. I think she was that innocent and pure of heart that she had no idea that we were on drugs. She was just like, ‘You guys are great, I wish all of my guides were like you.’ It was wild. It was one of the best days of my life. It really was.”

For those of you thinking “Okay, but how stoned was he really“, well, he was stoned enough to believe he almost considered purchasing a children’s Chewbacca backpack from the gift shop.

“I think I almost bought a Chewbacca backpack, as well, I was that stoned. I thought it was a good idea to get one of those backpacks that are the shape of Chewbacca, so it’s like the back of Chewbacca’s head, and his arms are like over my shoulder and his legs are around my waist. In retrospect, I should have actually just got it. It was a great backpack. It was really cute.”

Andrew and Emma were photographed a couple times during their visit, and they look about as high as people rolling on pot brownies would be.

You can listen to Andrew talk about his Disneyland trip at the 2:21 mark.

I don’t blame them for getting as high as possible before stepping onto Main Street USA. If you’re under the age of 12, Disneyland is a magical place that has more fun crammed into one day than the combined joy of six birthday parties, twelve recesses, and getting an extra Fruit-by-the-Foot in your lunch bag. However, if you’re adult who hates lines, crowds and hearing Let It Go play on repeat, it can be more annoying than standing behind someone at the grocery store who just pulled a 2-inch stack of coupons from their purse. Actually, now that weed is legal in California, Disneyland should capitalize on people wanting to get high by having a little weed store inside the park. It could be Buzz Lightyear’s To Infinity & Beyond Shoppe. Or just buy it off Goofy. He looks like he’s got the best stuff.

Here’s Andrew Garfield looking a lot less high at the Silence premiere in Los Angeles last night.
