50 Cent Threatens To Quit “Power” Over Its Lack Of Golden Globe Nomination
The nominations for the 2017 Golden Globes were announced yesterday. Of course, some television shows, movies, actors, and actresses didn’t make the list, and that’s bound to make some people mad. 50 Cent, for example, is really pissed off that Power, the Starz show he executive produces and co-stars on, was left out of the category for Best Television Series, Drama. Some people get their anger out by screaming into a pillow. 50 Cent’s pillow is Instagram, and so he threw his tantrum there.
50 Cent is so mad that Power didn’t get a single nomination, he has threatened to retire his character, Kanan, and leave. 50 posted a picture of himself in a jet looking at his phone with the following bitchy threat:
“I’m on the move again, Golden Globe’s can suck a dick. I accept my series POWER was not intended to be a signature show for the network but it is the highest rated show. I know my audience very well, I’m done promoting this out side of contractual obligations. SEASON 4 KANAN MUST DIE, I got other shit to do. #EFFENVODKA”
Since 50 Cent has a tendency to be saltier than a crab’s briny ass crack, he kept on dragging the Golden Globes. Power is currently in its third season, and he Instagrammed this fake promo for the fourth season “starring” Floyd Mayweather in his place.
A rep for Starz tells Deadline that they couldn’t confirm if 50 Cent is telling the truth about exiting, but said that they’re just as upset that Power was snubbed. But….they also don’t really care.
“We are grateful for the excellent work being done on Power by the producers, cast and crew. We certainly think this exceptional show has been overlooked by various awards committees, but the fans have made it the second-most-watched show on premium cable in 2016…and those are accolades that mean just as much if not more.”
50 Cent is beyond dramatic. It’s just a stupid award! If he wanted one that badly, he could have just (allegedly) bought one. Oh wait, scratch that – you have to actually have money to buy those things.
