Kim Kardashian Has Dropped Her Lawsuit Against MediaTakeOut

Because the motto on the Kardashian family krest is Sic Semper Attention, there were naturally some people who were a little skeptical about Kim Kardashian’s Paris robbery story earlier this month. MediaTakeOut.com was the loudest voice in questioning Kim’s version of what happened inside her Paris apartment and they suggested that she staged the whole thing and filed a false insurance claim. Kim responded by telling them to remove their slanderous stories, and when they didn’t, she filed a libel lawsuit again them. That worked for Kim, because her fight with MTO is over.

The Hollywood Reporter says that Kim dropped her lawsuit against MTO and her lawyers say that the issue has been resolved to the “mutual satisfaction” of both parties. On Monday, MTO issued a retraction for calling Kim a liar.

“MediaTakeOut regrettably published a series of false stories about Kim Kardashian West suggesting she faked the robbery in Paris, lied to authorities and then filed a $5.6 million fraudulent insurance claim for her stolen jewelry. MediaTakeOut knows that Mrs. Kardashian West was in fact robbed in Paris. We have permanently removed from our website any and all posts that suggested she staged the robbery, lied about it to the French police and committed an insurance crime.

We sincerely apologize to Mrs. Kardashian West and her family for the false stories we published and regret suggesting that what happened to her in Paris was anything less than horrific. We are pleased that this matter has been resolved to satisfaction of all the parties.”

MTO clearly changed their minds about Kim’s situation because they didn’t want to get sued into eternity by Kim’s crack legal team from Satan, Lucifer, and Pazuzu. It’s probably for the best that they rethought their position, since it’s starting to sound less likely that Kim made it all up. Vanity Fair recently spoke to Paris police chief Christian Sainte, and he crosses his heart and pinky swears that there is “no doubt” that Kim was robbed at gunpoint.

Christian also admits that when he first got the call that Kim Kardashian was robbed, he was like “Le huh?” Apparently Christian Sainte didn’t know who Kim Kardashian was, so he Googled her. Christian says he learned very quickly who she was, and that now he knows “almost everything about her.” Don’t worry Christian, a quick click on Google images with the safe search off will lead you to the rest.
