Amber Rose Is Sorry For Accusing Julianne Hough Of Body-Shaming

Last week, Dancing with the Very Loose Definition of Stars found themselves attached to a little post-show drama over Amber Rose’s body. Amber claimed on an episode of Loveline with Amber Rose that after she and her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy performed a salsa to Jennifer Lopez’s “Booty“, she overheard judge Julianne Hough make a crack about feeling “a little uncomfortable.” Amber accused Julianne of body-shaming her XXL ass and thighs. Julianne swore in a statement that she was only shading Amber’s slo-mo moves. Well, one week later, the boot-scooting booty battle has fizzled out with an on-air apology.

As Entertainment Tonight points out, Amber and Julianne kissed and made up during last night’s episode of DWTS. Amber addressed the body-shaming drama before she and Maks hit the floor for a Cirque du Soleil-inspired tango. Afterwards, when Amber and Maks approached the judges for their score, Tom Bergeron asked Amber if she had anything to say to Julianne. Amber summoned all the extra humility in her body and apologized to Julianne for stirring up shit that might not have been there. I’m really glad that’s what she was wearing when she did it too. I firmly believed that if you’re going to say you’re sorry, it’s always nice to do so while dressed as a Leg Avenue sales rep. It all happens around the 1:16 mark.

Julianne accepted Amber’s apology and she gave one back. Julianne claims she would NEVER come for Amber’s tightly-wrapped body like that, because that’s not what Mr. Dance would want.

“I would like to say one thing, also. The thing I love so much about dance is that it’s a universal platform for people to express themselves. Any person—whether that is age, height, body shape, ethnicity or sexual orientation – it is something that people can express themselves to do. And for me, I am a huge supporter of that and that alone and as a judge, I’m here to solely judge you and everyone in this competition for only the dancing. I want you to know that.”

I’m glad Amber and Julianne buried the Capezios, if you will, but of all the nights to do it. Don’t tell me Amber didn’t look at Julianne and think long and hard about reading her for wearing what looks to be a drunken craft nite Pinterest fail of the Childlike Empress’ hat from The Neverending Story II.

Julianne, I’m normally a very positive person and I don’t like conflict, but girl, you need to have a long hard talk with your hair stylist.
