Karlie Kloss Is Definitely Still Very Good Friends With Taylor Swift
On Sunday, The Times released an interview that they did with Taylor Swift’s former favorite giggle pal (that honor goes to Tom Hiddleston now) Karlie Kloss. Despite the fact that everything about that picture above screams “BFF LOVE HUGS BAE XOXO FORVER!“, some people recently started wondering if everything was as good with them. According to Karlie, everything is fine. Just fine! Nothing to see here! Hey, look over there! Isn’t that Justin Bieber fighting with Selena Gomez?
It all started after Karlie was asked about the Snapchat situation between Taylor and Kim Kardashian. Karlie sort of stuttered while saying that Kim has been a “lovely person” to her in the past, and added: “Look, I really don’t know her that well. My closest friends, really, are my sisters and my mum.” She also didn’t mention Taylor Swift once during the interview.
If attending Kanye West’s album launch back in February was friendship strike one, then surely komplimenting Kim and not bringing up Taylor had to be strikes two and three, right? According to Karlie, no. Karlie hopped on Twitter last night to let everyone know that just because she didn’t include Taylor in her closest friends list doesn’t mean they’re avoiding each other in the hallways at school.

I can’t remember the last time I read something Karlie wrote, so I don’t know if those are the kind of words that would come out of her mouth. But one thing is for sure: those words definitely sound like something that would come out of Taylor’s. Those two tweets are almost a full row in Taylor Swift Statement Bingo. “Media“, “Misconstrue“, “Pit women against each other.” The only thing missing is a legal threat and a FREE space.
There’s got to be a good reason for why Karlie didn’t include Taylor as one of her closest friends. It’s probably because Taylor uses a much more eye-rollingly twee word for what they have. Like kindred spirits, or eternal soul twins. “My closest friends are my sisters and mum, and my most-precious special bond buddy is obviously Taylor Swift.”
