Tyga Has Finally Paid Back One Of His Landlords (UPDATE)

Mark this day in your calendars, people: August 12, 2016. For the first time in known history, Tyga (real name: Michael Ray Stevenson) has actually…brace yourselves….paid a landlord back the money he owed them. A man who is on a first-name basis with most of the collection agency employees and repo men in the greater Los Angeles area has stopped running from one of the people chasing his deadbeat ass for money.
Tyga has reached a settlement with the landlord he owes $480,000 in unpaid rent and damages to and it only took the threat of getting arrested at the airport when he returned from the vacation his teenage girlfriend paid for. An attorney for the landlord tells E! News that Tyga has finally paid the landlord back and that both parties are “mutually satisfied” with the settlement. The attorney adds that they’ll appear in court today to ask the judge to dismiss the bench warrant that was issued after Tyga failed to appear in court on Tuesday. Tyga paid up, and the landlord wants to move on.
Of course, the details of the settlement are confidential. But according to TMZ, Tyga definitely didn’t pay the whole $480,000. A source tells TMZ that the number they settled on was less than $480,000. The source doesn’t have the specific amount. But since it’s the Overdraft King we’re talking about, my guess is the landlord got whatever the maximum amount Kylie Jenner was allowed to wire from Turks and Caicos plus a box of Kingin’ with Tyga t-shirts.
Tyga might not want to put his checkbook away just yet. There are still a few creditors out there who he owes money to. I don’t see any of this ending well for Tyga. Now that his creditor know Tyga actually is capable of paying them back, they’re all going to start coming out of the woodwork looking for their money. Sure, it’s fine when you’re dating a human ATM with self-esteem issues, but what happens when she cuts off the cash? To quote DJ Khaled: Congratulations, Tyga, you played yourself. Good luck dodging your creditors now!
UPDATE: TMZ says that a judge has recalled Tyga’s bench warrant. Sorry Kylie, it looks like you won’t be putting a second framed mugshot of your boyfriend up on your shelf just yet. Sources also tell TMZ that Tyga paid “more than half” of the $480,000 he owed. So basically a little more than the cost of a birthday car?
