Today In Duh: Noah Galvin’s Messy Interview Pissed Off ABC

“Ooooooh, bitch got sent to the principal’s office at ABC” is what many of us thought after reading the completely natural apology that Noah Galvin gave for giving his raw thoughts about Bryan Singer’s ALLEGED boy-diddling ways, Colton Haynes’ “pussy bullshit” coming out and Eric Stonestreet’s performance of a stereotypical gay man on Modern Family. 22-year-old Noah, who is openly gay, is the star of The Real O’Neals, which was renewed for a second season but doesn’t get nearly the ratings that ABC’s golden child Modern Family does. So Noah Galvin talking trash about Modern Family is like you spitting in the face of your boss’ favorite child while kicking them in the dick. And so of course, Noah got in trouble.
The Hollywood Reporter says that ABC had no idea what Noah said in that Vulture interview before it came out. The interview was set up by Noah’s personal publicist who was hoping it would push him toward an Emmy nomination. Yeah, it pushed him so hard it pushed him right out of the damn running. The b-holes of the executives at ABC caught on fire when they read that interview and they wanted to punish The Real O’Neals by cutting its episode order. The executives calmed down and decided not to chop the episode order when a producer begged them not to:
As the controversy raged, the specter of a reduced episode order arose at ABC, according to one source. An executive producer who had spent four years getting the series on the air was “begging the network not to take action,” says this source.
One source tells THR that Noah’s interview is going to make things on set even more awkward. He’s apparently the Katherine Heigl of his show and has been warned about his “ego and entitlement.”
One show source says the set likely will be awkward when the cast returns to film season two later this summer: “He caused a grade-A shit show. ABC screamed at him all afternoon.”
Oh to be a fly on a Craft Service everything bagel when Martha Plimpton drags Noah Galvin. She strikes me as a “when you mess with my show, you mess with my money and when you mess with my money, you mess with my emotions” kind of trick.
What Noah should do is go back to the principal’s office at ABC and ask to be transferred from The Real O’Neals to The View. Because when you say messy shit on The View, you don’t get written up and sent to detention. You get your $5 million contract extended. Just ask Whoopi.
