Superhead Has Taken Out A Restraining Order Against Her Maybe-Husband Columbus Short

Those of us who get the warm fuzzies for some public cheater drama got a real treat last week courtesy of Ho Hall of Fame Legend Karrine “Superhead” Steffans and former Scandal star Columbus Short. Superhead threw Columbus’ alleged cheating ass (as well as most of his clothes) out and documented it on Instagram. And now things have gotten even more dramatic.

Superhead has since deleted her Instagram video of her “husband” (we’ll get to that in a minute) Columbus surrounded by his underwear in the lobby of their apartment building, but that doesn’t mean she’s ready to put it all behind her. TMZ says Superhead was granted a temporary restraining order against Columbus Short on Monday. According to Superhead, Columbus turns into a loud drunk at least three times a week. Superhead claims Columbus once got so drunk, he kicked down the door to their bathroom (where she was hiding from him) and he also threatened to whoop her 18-year-old son “like a man.”

Columbus was also ordered to move out of their house. I doubt moving will be that much of a hassle, since Superhead already removed most of his shit last week.

Superhead doesn’t want that temporary restraining order to turn permanent. She’s hoping that it works as a wake up call for Columbus and convinces him that he needs treatment for his boozing. She also says she doesn’t want a divorce. Here’s where it gets weird. Back in January, Superhead posted a bunch of pictures of her in what appears to be a wedding dress to Instagram, and claimed that she had become Mrs. Karrine Short. However, Columbus is calling bullshit and says they’re not actually married. He’s also side-eyeing her accusations that he’s a drunk mess.

Despite whether or not their married, Superhead’s temporary restraining order could mean a whole lot of trouble for Columbus. He’s still on probation for assaulting a dude at an L.A. restaurant back in 2014. He’s also had problems with addiction in the past.

This whole situation is the definition of a messy. But the main thing I’m having trouble wrapping my mind around is the whole married/not-married thing. Either Superhead and Columbus are married or they’re not. Like, why is no one asking to see the receipts? Is putting on a wedding dress and saying the words “I’m married” on Instagram enough to convince people that you’re legally married to someone? If so, then I need to go rent a white gown and set up some flattering lights so Michael K can officially announce his marriage to Prince Harry.
