Johnny Football And His Girlfriend Got Into A High-Speed Domestic Dispute

NFL celebrity player Johnny Manziel (aka “Johnny Football”) allegedly shoved his girlfriend Colleen Crowley’s head against the passenger window during an argument while driving on I-90 outside of Cleveland. Fist Brown approves!

Manziel is the super-popular Cleveland Browns player who has become a brand due to…I guess he’s good at football? Wait, Wikipedia has revealed that he won the Heisman Trophy as a freshman and it was a big deal. There ya go. Anyway, he’s in a bunch of ads, and worth lots of $$$.

TMZ reports that the cops pulled the couple over on Monday evening after a motorist reported Manziel’s car flew past him on the shoulder “at a high rate of speed.” Colleen told them that Manziel had pushed her head into the window. Cops also noticed a graze on her arm, but they were told it was from Manziel trying to keep her from jumping out of the car while it was moving. Crowley also reported that they had been drinking in downtown Cleveland earlier in the day. Ms. Obviously Gunning For The “Football” Name declined to press charges against her dude.

Cops decided the pair were not impaired and released them.

Manziel, maybe realizing this incident made his rehab stint back in April look ineffective, took to Twitter to explain.

“I appreciate the people who stopped to check on us and call the police, I could see how it may have looked. Anytime anyone sees a guy and a girl arguing on the side of the road they should definitely stop, you never know what that could be. Fortunately it was just an argument, it was private, and we are all good!”

Let’s face it. It’s the NFL. He could have been covered in his own vomit. It wouldn’t have mattered. He would have had to secretly deflate a ball and actually mess with the team’s season.
