The UFO that appears out of nowhere and abducts Fallon Carrington Colby #2 (as played by Emma Samms) on the last episode of the Dynasty spin-off The Colbys! 

Thanks to reader Nicole for reminding me of one of the most important and ridiculously hot moments in TV history. On the series finale of The Colbys, which only lasted 2 seasons from 1985 to 1987, the writers said “fuck it,” got stoned and went full crazy. Fallon, who suffered from headaches after falling down a flight of stairs, was driving one night and she somehow ended up on a deserted dirt road. Of course, her car broke down in the middle of nowhere and while calling for help on her car phone, her car went dead and a UFO suddenly appeared and landed in front of her. Emma Samms gives the performance of her career as she stands there, looking up at the UFO while thinking to herself, “The fuck am I doing with my career?” If only the spaceship door opened and her mom Alexis Carrington slowly sashayed out and said, “Look at what the cat dragged in.”

Fallon is summoned into the UFO by aliens and after she walks inside, it flies away into the sky. Now THAT is how a series finale is done. If J.J. Abrams ended Lost like that, he would’ve gotten loads and loads of praise for paying tribute to a true masterpiece that was snuffed out before its time. Empire is probably going to last for 50 seasons, but I expect the series finale to include a scene where Boo Boo Kitty gets sucked into a spaceship.

Since The Colbys got canceled, the UFO story picked up on the season 8 premiere of Dynasty. Fallon’s husband Jeff finds her miles from her car and she only remembers going into the spaceship. She doesn’t remember anything else. Fallon eventually tells Jeff who eventually tells her dad Blake and his side piece (and her cousin) Leslie. They don’t believe her. Fallon and Jeff’s marriage dies shortly, because she learns that he fucked her cousin and she can’t trust him after he told everyone about her close encounter with the WTF kind.

I bet this scene is like porn to John Travolta. It has everything: 80s glamour, Emma Samms, theater and aliens!

So if a spaceship ever lands before you after your car breaks down in the desert, immediately get in it, because it’ll drop you off in Dynasty!
